Stephen, a former civil servant, now devotes each day to perfecting their craft, using technology to ensure their coffee’s signature quality and flavor. She works alongside her sons to foster this tradition and inspire young people to embrace coffee farming as a way of life.

Their son, Peter Kuria, is the founder and CEO of Solai Coffee. As a second-generation farmer, Peter is committed to transforming the industry by supporting fair compensation for growers and introducing young farmers to modern, sustainable coffee practices. Through direct trade and a focus on quality, the Kuria family’s dedication ensures every cup tells a story of heritage, innovation, and fairness.
